Hair extensions are done to increase the length and volume of hair. Hair extensions are usually clipped, glued, or sewn on natural hair by incorporating additional human or synthetic hair.

The main reason for hair extensions is to increase the length of hair. It can also cover up a bad haircut. If you want to add some color and dimension to your hair, you can use a different hair color shade for the hair extensions without having to color the natural hair. Hair extensions also add volume to the hair. Thinner hair is made to look thicker with hair extensions.
Using hair extensions is also a way to change the hairstyle without actually cutting and changing it with natural hair. Using too-many Chemical heavy products and heat involving hair appliances can damage your natural hair. The hair extensions create a layer between the natural hair and the products/appliances.

Variations of Hair extensions

Hair extensions are a safe way of donning different hairstyles without investing too much effort. There are different types of hair extensions tape-in, I-tip, bonded, and RineX and they all share one common goal-creating long, luxurious hairstyles. They are all different in terms of application, texture, and density.

1. Tape-In hair extensions

A must-have for those with normal to thick hair textures. Tape-In hair extensions create a cascading wheel effect and are reusable up to three times. The application is convenient for those who need to touch up their hair color within that time frame as well. Tape-In hair extensions boast a removal and reapplication time of one to two hours. Wear time, on the other hand, is six to eight weeks.

I-tip hair extensions

2. I-tip hair extensions

A luxurious technique to lengthen and amplify your natural hair is using I-tip hair extensions. The Italian keratin-tipped end, which resembles a stick, may be used for both hot glue and cold micro- bead installations, making it a flexible choice for both beginners and experts. We have fusion hair that is both virgin and colored which is ideal for any installation. We use only the best materials for I- tip extensions, resulting in a product that will last and look gorgeous. I-tip hair extensions are the ideal choice if you're trying to change your appearance.

Bonded hair extensions

3. Bonded hair extensions

Also known as Keratin bond extensions, bonded hair extensions are flexible at the root, which is perfect for the client who regularly styles her hair or wears low ponytails. Application time can take three to six hours and these hair extensions are ideal for fine hair types and can be worn for two to four months.

4. RineX hair extensions

RineX extensions were developed for short-term wear and if handled with care they may be worn over and over. Extensions can be cut and styled, attached by the client, removed, and stored for the next occasion. These extensions should be stored flat, in the same condition as they were packaged.

Latest techniques of hair extensions

Netting is a technique that involves braiding natural tresses under a thin, breathable net that serves as a flat surface onto which stylists can weave extensions. This method requires the use of a hair net or cap to be placed over the person's hair that has been braided. Netting provides more flexibility than track placement because the stylist is not limited to sewing extensions to a braid. With netting, there is the option of sewing the hair wefts onto the net or gluing. This technique is not as time-consuming when compared to the other hair techniques because it takes about 2–4 hours to complete

The most recent development in weave extensions is lace fronts, which are made from a nylon mesh material formed into a cap that is then hand-ventilated by knotting single strands of hair into the tiny openings of the cap, giving the hair a more natural and authentic continuity than typical extensions. It has a few variations including straight, wavy and curly. Furthermore, the extension units can be woven in or attached to a person's hairline with special adhesives. To ensure a proper fit, head measurements are taken into account with this type of weave. A lace frontal is best placed by a professional since more advanced weaving and hair extensions are used. This method is commonly used because it makes it possible to have access to a certain part of the scalp.

Tracking involves the braiding of a person's natural hair. This is one of the most commonly used methods as it is quite fast and lasts considerably longer than other techniques. However, it does not allow for regular hair maintenance. In order to prevent the hair from being bumpy or uneven, the hair is sewn horizontally or vertically across the head from one side to the other starting from the bottom. The braided hair is then sewn down and the hair weft extensions are sewn onto the braids. A weave can consist of a few tracks, or the whole head can be braided for a full-head weave. With a full head weave, the braids are sewn down or covered with a net. Extensions are then sewn to the braids. The number of tracks used depends on the desired look.

What is the difference between human and synthetic hair?

Human hair is the most natural hair look and feels while synthetic hairs are created from man-made fibers using specialized technology to give the overall appearance and feel of real hair. Synthetic hair composed of man-made fibers is much more durable than human hair. Probably, the most
prominent benefit of synthetic hair is that they come already styled and have the ability to hold a certain style no matter the conditions so even if it is found out, it won't go flat or fizzy. In terms of lasting for longer durations, human hairs do a better job than synthetic hairs. Heat-friendly synthetic hairs have the shortest lifespan, usually two to three months only.
